Christmas games online
Our games don't have Santa in them, and we won't pretend they do. What we do have for Christmas is real snow and twinkling lights in some of our favorite games during Winter Lights, gingerbread and cocoa in Copper Pot Kitchen in December, and plenty of games to play together when the whole family is in one room. Everything runs free in your browser.

Games for the whole family on Christmas Day
The easiest games for a full living room are the ones you pass around. These all have a pass and play mode, so one phone or tablet is enough:
- Pipfold and Foxglove Farkle: dice games for two to four, each person with their own name. Easy to explain to anyone in a minute.
- Marigold Mini Golf: two to four golfers take turns stroke by stroke, and every course is open in pass and play.
- Primrose Paddocks: dots and boxes for two to four on a notebook page.
- Copper Pot Kitchen Family Cook-off: two to four cooks make the same easy dish with no clock, then the judges crown the best plate. It works right from the title screen with no account.
- Cribbage Cabin, Damson Drop and Samphire Salvo: two players, one device, a proper head to head.
If part of the family is far away this year, several of these also play online with a friend. One person makes a room and shares a short code or a link, and the other joins from their own phone or computer. Our holiday games to play with family page has the full list.
Quick picks
- For a quiet hour after presents: Mossnook Jigsaw or a few deals of Star Solitaire.
- For grandparents who love cards: Cribbage Cabin or Canyon Klondike, plus more on our holiday card games page.
- For the kids: Copper Pot's Little Chef mode has bigger buttons, no clock and no way to fail. For learning games with no ads, try our winter break learning games.
- For the competitive cousin: Lamplight Pool with real pool physics, or a race up the Pocket Pinball leaderboard.
- For something long: Sprout Parade has snowy worlds all through Winter Lights. See our games for Christmas break for more.
Questions
Are these Christmas themed games?
A few of them get a real winter look for the season: snow and lights in six games during Winter Lights, and a gingerbread and cocoa menu in Copper Pot Kitchen in December. The rest are games we think fit Christmas week well. We don't have Santa or elf games.
Are the games free?
Yes. Every game here is free to play in your browser, with nothing to download. Winter Lights keepsakes are earned by playing, and nothing in the event is for sale.
Can we play together on one phone?
Yes. Pipfold, Foxglove Farkle, Marigold Mini Golf and Primrose Paddocks take two to four players on one device, and the Copper Pot Family Cook-off takes two to four cooks.
Can we play with family in another house?
Yes, in several games. Cribbage Cabin, Pipfold, Marigold Mini Golf, Lamplight Pool and more have a play a friend mode that connects two devices with a short room code or a link.
When does the snow go away?
Winter Lights runs from November 23 to January 4. The snow and lights leave when it ends, but any keepsakes you earned stay yours.
