How to do a jigsaw puzzle online
Drag a piece onto the board and drop it near where it belongs. When it lines up with its neighbor, it snaps into place. Pieces that join stay joined, so you can move a whole finished section around as one.
Most people start with the edges, since straight sides are easy to spot, and then work inward by color and pattern. There's no clock unless you want one.
What's in Mossnook Jigsaw
- Nine collections of hand-painted pictures, from farm patchworks and mountain lakes to quilts, mosaics and stained glass windows.
- Pick your size, from a quick 12 pieces up to 768 on a computer, with a sensible top size on phones.
- A piece tray, an Edges button that pulls out every straight-sided piece, Tidy and Gather to keep the table neat, and a ghost of the picture if you'd like a hint.
- Turning pieces when you want a real challenge.
- A Daily Jigsaw of 108 pieces, the same picture and cut for everyone, with its own leaderboard.
- An album that fills up as you finish pictures. No ads, and nothing locked behind a purchase.
Tips for bigger puzzles
- Sort first. Pull every edge piece out, then group the rest by color.
- Build the parts of the picture with strong details, like text, faces or bright objects, before the sky or the sea.
- Look at shapes, not just colors. On large areas of one color, the tabs and blanks tell you where a piece fits.

Yes. Your progress saves on your device as you play, so you can close the page and pick up where you left off.
Is there a daily jigsaw puzzle?
Yes. Every day at midnight UTC a new 108 piece Daily Jigsaw appears in Mossnook Jigsaw. Everyone gets the same picture and the same cut, and your finishing time goes on the daily board.
