How match 3 works
Swap two pieces that sit side by side. If the swap lines up three or more of the same kind in a row or a column, they clear and new pieces drop in from above. A swap that doesn't make a match slides back, and you keep your move. Each level gives you a few goals and a set number of moves to reach them.
In Dewdrop Dell the pieces are toadstools, acorns, buttercups, leaves, dewdrops and berries, and every one has its own shape as well as its own color, so the board stays easy to read even if some colors look alike to you.
Bigger matches make special pieces

Swap two specials into each other for something bigger. Two Breezes sweep a row and a column at once, and two Moonflowers clear the whole board. Finish a level with moves to spare and each one turns into a Breeze that goes off on its own, which is the surest way to three stars.
No lives, no timers, no waiting
We don't like being made to wait to play again, so Dewdrop Dell has none of that. Retry any level right away, as often as you like. Helpers like Hop (swap any two neighbors) and Stir (mix up the board) are earned by playing, and every level can be won without them. We test every level with a computer player before it goes out, so none of them need lucky drops.
After the hand-made trail, Wild Paths levels keep coming, and Wander mode is an open board with no move limit and no goals at all.
Triple tile match is a little different
In Trinket Trio you don't swap anything. You tap trinkets that aren't covered, and they move into a tray with seven slots. Three of a kind in the tray clear. Fill the tray without a trio and the level is over, so the skill is in choosing which tile to take next. Put back sends your last three trinkets back to the shelf, once in every level.

Daily puzzles
Dewdrop Dell's Daily Glade and Trinket Trio's Daily Shelf are the same for everyone each day and change at midnight UTC. Your first run of the day goes on the daily leaderboard and keeps your streak going, and you can replay them as often as you like for practice.
Match 3 tips
- Make specials before you need them. A Breeze waiting next to a Seedpod is worth far more than either alone.
- Save a Moonflower for a combo. Swapped with a plain piece it clears one kind; swapped with another special it can clear most of the board.
- Work near the bottom when you can. New pieces fall from the top, and matches low on the board shake more loose.
- In a triple tile match, never take a lone tile you can't pair soon. Every single tile in the tray is a slot you've lost.
