Sudoku is a number placement puzzle on a 9 by 9 grid. The grid is split into nine 3 by 3 boxes, and some cells already hold a number. Your job is to fill every empty cell so that each row, each column and each box holds the numbers 1 to 9 exactly once. There's no math involved. The numbers could just as well be colors or letters; it's all about where things can and can't go.
