Turn your 10 cards into melds and leave as little loose deadwood as you can. Your hand sorts itself: green beds are melds, the brown bed is deadwood.

Melds

• Set: 3 or 4 cards of the same rank, like 7 7 7.
• Run: 3 or more in a row in one suit, like 4♥ 5♥ 6♥. Ace is low only.
• Deadwood counts: aces 1, number cards their number, faces 10.

Each turn

• Draw one card from the deck or the top of the discard pile.
• Then discard one card. Tap it, then tap again (or drag it to the pile). You can't throw back the card you just took from the pile.
• At the start, the first upcard is offered to the non-dealer, then the dealer. If both pass, the non-dealer draws from the deck.

Knocking

• When your deadwood is 10 or less, tap Knock to end the hand. Your rival lays off loose cards onto your melds.
• You score the difference in deadwood. Gin (no deadwood) scores 25 bonus and nothing can be laid off. Big gin (all 11 cards melded) scores 31.
• Undercut: if the other player ties or beats your count, they score the difference plus 25.
• If the deck gets down to 2 cards with no knock, the hand is dead.

Winning

• First to 100 wins: plus 100 game bonus and 25 for every hand won. A shutout doubles it.
• Daily Garden: 3 hands with today's deals vs Hazel. Score is 100 plus your points minus hers.
• Every point you score is a seed that grows flowers in your garden. Wins unlock card backs for every card game on the site.
